Rising to 14,204 feet, Mount Princeton is one of Colorado’s iconic “fourteeners,” set in the rugged Sawatch Range just west of Buena Vista. Known for its broad shoulders, sweeping alpine views, and relatively accessible routes, it’s a favorite for climbers and travelers looking to experience the high Rockies without venturing too far off the grid.

For me, though, it’s more than a statistic or a summit. Mt. Princeton is a constant presence on the horizon—a grounding, calming visual that never really changes, even as everything else does. It’s the kind of landmark that quietly anchors a place, the kind that makes you feel like you’re home just by being able to see it.
